Default wooden plane making=request for help

I would like to build an heirloom wooden plane, Book and materials are
my first priority, Any advice before I start my search is appreciated
greatly. I am skilled enough to build one, I just don't know where to
begin. Amazon has only a few books.Kits? Supplies? Knife making has a
diverse supply network, does something exist for plane making?
