Default See a Sawmill in operation

A local sawmill has an ad in our local Shoppers Guide announcing an Open
House and Tours

Saturday, October 8 from 8 to 2

Hull Forrest Products
101 Hampton Road (Route 97)
Pomfret Center, CT

From the ad "See a modern sawmill & lumber manufacturing facility in
operation" "From Forest to Flooring"

Pomfret in in the northeast corner of CT.

OK, you want to see the mill, but your wife is not interested, but bring
her for the day anyway. It is a very nice area to meander around the back
roads, Putnam is the next town over and has plenty of antique shops, some
good restaurants. There are a couple of farm stands in the area as well and
even hay rides, but rain is predicted. Sharp Hill Vineyard is not far.

If you are into Stickley furniture or Mission style, one of the Putnam
antique shops usually has plenty to look at.
