So only managed to get one door done this past weekend on the shed.
Ran into a few minor issues and helpers were short on the clock. Plan is to finish up the doors this coming Saturday. Hopefully can get all the patching and priming done (at the very least) in the next couple weeks if the weather holds. Probably hold off on final paint till spring unless we get a good warmish weekend in before turkey day. The hinges worked perfectly on the door, alleviating the need for a middle trim strip, which will should reduce future water damage. Figure if it needs a decoration I can make something up in the shop and slap it on in the spring. Trying to decide on primer/paint choice. Used a little Zinnser under the left-hand side trim and plan to do the same on right and across top. Thinking to patch along top a bit, prime, then put up new trim with some flashing sandwiched in-between. Will that work well? |

Here's what the other door looked like to give you a better idea of
the damage, much of which wasn't seen until trim removed. |
