Do you find the camera "looks through" the stain and finish more than the
naked eye?

In some respects, the photo looks better than real life, in other ways, reality
is better. Might have to do with 3D...

Thanks! All the wood is pine, but the drawer fronts and the top are a different
species, and the drawers have less stain, rubbed off very vigorously!

The stain is water based Diamond Varathane, Provincial; the top coat is oil
based Varathane glossy.
