Which one was the before and which one was the after?

Just kidding. Looks good.

The old one look liked it was time for a replacement. Was it getting kind
of dangerous?

My guess is a tribute to the Gnomes of the forest and their sacrifice of
the lumber to make the improvements.

Or a fit of whimsey.

Personally I like it!

Very nice. What is the reason for the 2x on top of the right railing?

Looks like the joists are 2x6, are they?

Also how much is the over hang past the beam?

Oh yeah and it looks great. Nice work!

Whoops! No, it's nice work and a great deck.

I was just snickering that the "before" picture was the new deck, and the
"after" picture was the old deck.

Seems like you took out the new nice deck and put in the old one...

Errr - nevermind! I'll keep quiet...

Respectfully,
- jbd in Denver
