What to do with a walnut stump? Wind blew over the tree about 3 years
ago. Someone else got the logs long before I learned it was up for the taking. The stump was uprooted and moved over to the edge of a field where it has been laying. Looks rough on the outside but I'm sure there is some good turning wood inside. It is a good 3ft across and 4 feet tall. Thought about cross cutting some pieces about 3 inches thick and trying to make some sort of table with these pieces. I'm sure there are some good pieces for bowls in this stump, but probably not enough for both tables and bowls. Anyone tried making a table top like this? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
