Come on guy - you can't post pics of a piece that nice without
providing some details about it. Maple burl - AND . . . Ordinarily the frame of the top would be stepped back like this +----------- | + \________ but you went the other way +--------- / / +---------------- any particular reason? Is the "frame" two layers or one? Did you turn the legs yourself? Are the turned legs one piece or was the turned part doweled to the square part? Apron to legs mortise & tenoned? How'd you attach the top to the apron - metal "Z" brackets? You had at least two bookmatched pieces of the burl veneer - there are two pairs of bookmatched pieces in the pic of the top view. Is the burl top two or four pieces of veneer? more details please. charlie b |
