Why is it always Sunday morning?
Woke up Sunday 13th Feb, house was chilly. Had a look downstairs. Joys. No lights, nothing on the Keston 25 boiler. Checked fuse, was fine, buzzing from transfer as usual. Oh good - looks like another Main Control Board required. Called Keston 9.30am Monday, told them no lights kapputt, boiler is 22 months old. Was installed in April 2003. Had two prior calls outs, one for a Main Control Board, one for a blocked filter, both under warranty. "Sorry Sir, there will be a charge". Engineer arrived at 2.40pm same day, whipped out duff card, popped new one in, now it works. Joys, we're now on the third Circuit board, and in just 22 months, surely some record? Waiting pensively for the bill (and also for this Circuit board to go wrong). |
