Unit pricing shelf tags at Target for household paper goods are
incorrect. Instead of unit price per count of sheets that vary in size the unit price should be per hundred square feet as at other stores. |

I doubt that too many of their employees read this newsgroup. -john- -- ================================================== ==================== John A. Your rate of use depends on the size of the sheet, not the total sq ft per roll or hundred ft 2. That is one of my pet peeves. About 10 or 15 years ago, the paper towel rolls suddenly changed from being a square sheet to a rectangle so you used about 1/3 more towel per use than prior. Neat way to get people to buy more towels without using any more sheets IOW a subtle customer rip-off. Harry K |

This has seriously cut down on my usage as I usually need only a half size for what I need to do. Or if I need one and a half I take 3 halves instead of two. Now when I go somewhere that only has the regular size ones I get slightly irked at having to waste or tear one in half. I really love this half size deal. That said, the unit price of sheet number versus square feet is actually better for me, as I use by the count rather than by the area. Agreed that it is an apples and oranges comparison problem. And toilet paper has gone from 5x5 sheets to 4x4, tuna from 7 oz cans to 6 oz, coffee from 16 ounce cans to 13 or 12 and Lays Potato chips from 16 ounces to 12. Hate companies that sneak price increases through that way. |
