I had never cut any tapered legs before (or since) and had to rig a
jig to do it.

bartenders? The god of contentment, happiness, and guardian of
children. I believe sometimes depicted surrounded by children?

He is supposedly based on an actual person, and is widely recognized
outside of Japan as the Fat, Laughing Buddha.
