Well it is almost carpenty

Roofing the shop, and oh boy what fun.
Been putting it off too long, and I jumped in head first.

Looks like a bomb shelter by the thickness of that sheeting.

I use 5/8" ply on all my roofs. this roof I did has 5/8" ply tongue and
groove on 16" centers.
I like that type of ply since 1/2" is like glorified cardboard........
The nails get a better bite in 5/8" also.

I used 5/8" on mine too but 24" centres. I used a chipboard product that is
filled with resins and other things called "StructureWood", made for
flooring and guaranteed not to edge feather for 90 days of rain & UV
exposure during building. The stuff is rock hard but the roofing guys
complained about it when putting the sheeting on. Nice for holding shingles
and walking on though!

Your picture looked thicker than 5/8". It still looks like a full 1" to
me...LOL
