RCA 27" Model F27685 Chassis CTC197AM
 

My volume started to go up and down on its own then completely static except for a handful of channels. I tried to play the DVD player through the external plugs and the volume was fine. I know there is a Gemstar module in the tuner. Has anyone had this problem and will replacing the tuner fix the problem?
