thanks for the construction notes and pics. I have been suffering the
stock (cast iron) rest on my Delta midi for a couple of years now. Was
thinking about somehow attaching some HSS rod, which I already have, to
the top edge, don't know, can be welded? What is the hardness
comparison of cast iron to cold rolled steel? I've been having to file
the old cast iron every few days, even without having had a catch.
