Those trees must predate the tarmac by at least a century, and I'd guess
the tarmac is about 20 years old, and was well laid at the time. The
foul-up was not leaving an open space with a grill round the trees,
and/or not laying the path between the existing rows of trees.

A lot of them look to be either photoshopped or the result of
insufficient training, like the Adidas tag on the trainer with the Nike
Swoosh. If you're working in a Chinese sweatshop, you just picklabel out
of bin 1, apply it to tongue out of bin 2, and put the result in bin 3.
If you can't read English, you wouldn't know that the labelled tongue in
bin 3 is not for the same line as the body in bin 4, especially if
you've never seen either trainer in the wild. It's more than likely been
photoshopped, though, as QC should have caught it before it left the
factory.

Even the first one in the sequence isn't a job done wrong, it's a
perfectly well fitted handrail with two out of three fixings broken.
It's possible to see the marks on the wall where the screws were.
