FWIW, I've used Sears shop vacs at home and commercially for around 20
years more or less. Always bought the hairiest one they sell and never
been disappointed. If you have one of those 6HP nominal that doesn't
draw properly, you have a clotted up filter for sure. If you have an
air compressor with a spritzer, you can blow the filter clean many
times for excellent performance. Give it a try.
