I am having a pit of a time so far with the copy command. I cannot seem
to copy and attach exactly where I want to place the copy.

Try grabbing an "end point" with the copy tool and carry it to the
corresponding/ matching end point on the piece you want to attach it to.

Works for me ... most of the time. Thank gawd for "escape" and CtrlZ!
