IN OBAMA'S OWN WORDS............
snip long list of reasons to vote for Obama
It's time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of
firsts, let's first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to
be our president in a nuclear age during a global civilizational war.
I hadn't realised you were one of his supporters. He certainly seems to
be
the
only one of the three that won't end up destroying your country.
Isn't it nice to be given a real choice of direction?
Before you get too certain about it, check today's news about what the
Catholic Priest said yesterday at Obama's church. The priest apparently
doesn't like white people in general, and Hillary in particular. If I were
Obama, I'd have him stuffed and mounted immediately. g
However this looks from over there, Mark, it ain't. There is no way you
could catch the flavor of this from across the pond. You can follow the
BBC,
the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, and anything else you want,
but you won't get the true flavor. It's like pins and needles.
But it is Obama's to lose. The sputtering antagonism you may see here is
the
work of the very conservative dead-enders who tend to hang out here.
They'd
might as well be ****ing upwind.

Don't be too sure. The election is not a national one but a state by state
one. If you start adding up the states that are going to go for McCain for
sure you will see that he's going to win quite a few of them. We saw what
happened in 2000 when the states fell the wrong way and Bush got into the
White House. It's not that big a stretch for McCain do the same thing
because you can never underestimate the racism that is alive and well in
this country. While "liberals" will gladly vote for a black, Hispanic,
Asian, or anything else that isn't the case with conservatives and
independents. When it comes down to actually voting for a black man for
president I can see a lot of white people pulling the handle for McCain at
the last minute. Just look at the 90% of black voters that Obama gets, you
can't tell me that's not about race. To think the whites are any different
is a fantasy. So I wouldn't be all that surprised to see McCain win because
as advanced as America likes to pretend it is it may still be too racist to
vote a black man into the presidency. If McCain were to win that would be
the final nail in America's coffin. Bush did most of the job and McCain
would polish it off. It could happen.
