I'll never forget the smell of a mixture of **** and diesel fuel burning...
Hopefully, few in this group have had that delightful experience..

I've never used "pure" tung oil, if you can still get it, but the tung oil/poly
and related mixtures seem to work well for a rub-on finish on flatwork...
Is the walnut project flat work?
