Default Giganto-TV cabinet

Here's a TV cabinet I made for a client. She bought a new 73" HDTV, then
figured out it wouldn't fit in her old custom-built cabinet.

I had fun with this one, mainly because the client, a friend, is a pretty
good woodworker herself. She put in crown moulding, window cornices, and
chair rails using a back saw and a wooden miter box. The returns are as good
as any I can do with my power miter box.

We picked out the construction materials at the BORG together, and she
decided on an MDF carcass with poplar face frame. I was disappointed in the
MDF, but it's what she wanted, and she's paying the bill. Besides, it's
painted black and white.

I wanted to put a little decoration on it, but she insisted on completely
plain and square. Again, it's her cabinet. She keeps bragging about it, and
I've already got inquiries from her friends who've seen it.

After it was completed, installed, and painted, she wanted floating glass
doors. I had to ask in rec.woodworking for a tool to drill hinge mounting
holes very close to the face frame stiles. I knew there was something out
there that would do the job, but not what. The best suggestion was a flex
drill extension.
