Other information that might have been useful:
--max size of window opening (width and height)
--power supply availability near the window (it's not good enough to say
what is NOT there, one should say what IS there)
--wall construction (brick, siding, etc) if installing a new opening for the
air-conditioner might be an option
--whether a portable air-conditioner might be acceptable instead of a window
unit

If you have a water supply and drainage for the water, there are some
portable units that use water from a tap / faucet to cool the unit instead
of relying on a fan and outside air...
